Regional dry cleaning establishments are banding together for the month of March to help provide job training for people in their community. For 26 years, dry cleaners have participated in Goodwill’s Project Wear and Share, a clothing drive that supports vocational training and employment opportunities for individuals with barriers to employment.
Goodwill Industries-Knoxville, Inc. has partnered with cleaners in Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Clinton, Farragut, Maryville, Sevierville, and Morristown to make donating more convenient as people begin to think about their spring cleaning.
Goodwill is asking individuals to look in their closets to find gently used clothing and linens that they no longer need. Proceeds from the sales of these donations will benefit Goodwill’s vocational training and employment opportunities for individuals with barriers to employment. In 2015, Goodwill Industries-Knoxville served over 4,100 individuals in the East Tennessee community.
Donation boxes for Project Wear and Share are available throughout the month of March. Find a participating dry cleaner near you!
