Elementary and middle school students from Knox County, Anderson County, Hamblen County, Oak Ridge City and Clinton City schools are invited to participate in the 2016 Sack Pack Donation Drive during the week of May 9-13.
Bring a grocery bag full of unneeded clothes, toys or other gently used items to school to donate to Goodwill. Your donation helps raise money for Goodwill's job training programs so people in our community can learn skills and find a job!
Every student in Knox County, Anderson County, Clinton, and Oak Ridge that bring in a bag will receive a free meal from McDonald's, and free admission to the American Museum of Science and Energy. Students in Hamblen County will receive a free meal from McDonald's, a chance to win two tickets to Dollywood, and an ice cream party for the class with the highest participation.
Thanks to Karns Elementary for kicking off the Sack Pack Drives. Watch the video below to see the students have fun talking about the programs that their donations will fund, and loading up all of the items into a Goodwill truck!
Thanks to WBIR, McDonald's, the American Museum of Science and Energy, Dollywood, Keep Anderson County Beautiful and Keep Hamblen-Morristown Beautiful for their support of the Sack Packs.
