Each year, the University of Tennessee sees thousands of students move out of dorms for the summer. This year, Goodwill was invited to collect donations in the dorms. As students packed up to head home for the summer, they were able to easily give items that they no longer needed to Goodwill.
At the end of the two-week donation drive, UT students gave 20,465 pounds of clothes and household items to Goodwill. These donations will be sold in local Goodwill stores, generating funding for our job training programs and employment opportunities for people with barriers to employment in East Tennessee.
